All skin types ( whether normal, dry, oily, combination ) should embrace moisturizing. It will take your skin to another level of ‘suppleness’ and ‘smoothness’. 
Let’s focus on moisturizing under makeup. I use to think I’ll get super oily if I use a moisturizer under my makeup. I know better now. 
Just because you have oily skin doesn’t mean your skin is hydrated. So, finding the right moisturizer for your skin type is essential.
I discovered using very thick or creamy moisturizer made my makeup peel off. So, it’s important to identify which ingredients compliments you skin type. Using the right product and amount would help you achieve a flawless look.
These are a few moisturizers that work perfectly under my makeup. I apply it before my primer and then foundation or powder (depending). Days without makeup, I still use a moisturizer.
Just so you know, moisturizing is not just to be applied before your makeup. Makeup or not, using a moisturizer should be part of your regular skin care regime in the morning and at nighttime.
1. Tatcha The Water Gel
A lovely lady at Sephora (Ocean dr. Miami) recommended this moisturizer. One of my absolute favourite. It is very light weight and not greasy at all. Impressively hydrating with a tint of luminosity. This gel-like moisturizer absorbs almost instantly and sits beautifully underneath my makeup.
If you have oily, dull, uneven skin texture, then this is worth the investment. Fantastic product!
2. Lancome Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Moisturizing Cream-Gel
Absolutely love the pleasant subtle smell of this product. It’s also a gel-like and an oil-free moisturiser. Super lightweight and absorbs like a dream. You only need a dime-size underneath your makeup.
If you’ve got an acne prone skin, this is the product for you! It’s got all the good stuff: Rose extract, Salicylic acid, Peony root, Moringa seed extract…
Your skin would feel supple, soft and smooth after application. Highly recommend!
3. Omaricode Hydrate Moisture Maximizer

4. Charlotte Tilbury Instant Turnaround Moisturizer
I have heard a lot of skin care gurus rave about this product, so decided to hop on the wagon and oh my… The hype is real!
You want your skin to have a radiant glow? This is it! A little goes a long way. It’s not greasy or tacky. Makes your skin soft and radiant. Plus, it is very hydrating. 
5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream
Amazing fragrance! I reach out for this product because of the fragrance. Apart from that, my skin loves it. Feels so soft, smooth and healthy after application. Most importantly it plays well under my makeup. It’s lightweight and absorbs quickly.
Definitely repurchasing even if it’s just for the fragrance. 
6. Embryolisse Lait Creme
This is a staple for many make-up artist and I get why. It sits beautifully well under makeup.
A bit thicker than the rest but not greasy and very hydrating. If I’m not using makeup, I don’t reach out for it as much. Still, I like it because it’s a great makeup primer 
These moisturizers have a few things in common and they go pretty well with my ‘oh so oily’ skin.
A moisturizer that is lightweight, absorbs quickly and hydrating? Is a 100 for me.
