Nuban Beauty pulled a fast one on me. I never experrit . So far, I am loving most of their products. Decided to do a full face… Make that ‘one third’ face using the Nuban Beauty products.

Before we get into it, a brief introduction.

Nuban Beauty is a ‘Nigerian makeup/cosmetics brand focused on providing quality and affordable makeup products designed for the African woman. The brand officially launched on the 15th of May 2017.

They’ve got an exceptional range of foundations, concealers, powders, highlighters, eye-shadows, lippies, makeup tools and more. Check them out

Here we go…

1. Nuban Mattifying Make-Up Base

It’s a silicon based primer, applies very smoothly and it blurs your pores after application. Love the feel and look even though I have mixed feelings about silicon primers. Prefer my primers water-based. I’m still testing it and so far, not bad!

2. Nuban D’Glow Liquid Highlighter

I have a deep skin tone so I got the shade Ecstasy. It’s a beautiful color and a little sure goes a long. Personally I’m not a fan of the glitter flakes. I prefer a liquid highlighter to blend with my skin especially when it looks like the glow is coming from within. It’s a nice highlighter not just my favourite.

3. Nuban ‘In My Skin’ Liquid Corrector

Uhmmm I really don’t reach out for this corrector as much as I reach out for my LA Girl corrector. This was one of the first products I got from Nuban Beauty that I wasn’t so thrilled about. It’s an ok product, just not my favourite as a corrector especially for my skin tone. It’s ok. Did I say ok? Ok

Actually you can use it as a cream blush if you prefer, so that’s good!

4. Nuban ‘In My Skin’ Foundation

Now, this is the star of the house. At least one of the stars.love the glowy and gleaming finish it gives my skin. It blends so well and you look like you’re ‘in your skin’. It made my top 5 foundations of 2020, so you know this is the bomb-dot-com.

You will see what I mean in the pictures shortly. Just flawless! I use the shade D13.

5. Nuban ‘In My Skin’ Concealer

Oh gal, this also deserves some accolades! It is a very lightweight concealer. Coverage, on point. Does a great job in concealing under eye circles and blends like a dream. Personally like when my concealer doesn’t dry out immediately I apply it, just so I have time to blend blend blend. This is not an overly drying product. Highly recommend this concealer. I use the shade 046.

6. Nuban Oil Control Setting Powder

This is likely making it to my top 5 setting powders this year. Absolutely worth the coins! Compared to the price point of other setting powders I use, this is pocket friendly. Gives a velvety– silky finish. Absorbs the oil on my skin. Perfect for setting under eye concealers. Issa hit for me! I use the shade Caramel.

7. Nuban Mineral Finishing Powder

Mac Mineralize skin-finish dupe alert! A dupe but a dope. If you are looking for a natural non-cakey powder, then you should check this out. It’s skin- like and gives a satin finish. I use the shade Caseblanca 08 all over my face and Accra 09 (slightly darker) as a bronzer and to contour my nose. They recently just launched this powder and I am loving it!

8. Nuban Beta Brows Retractable Pencil

It comes in 3 shades. Initially got the shade 02 thinking it would be a soft brown color ( personally don’t like the blackish overly harsh brows_ I like it brown and soft ) but this shade didn’t work on my skintone and it broke my heart.

So, If your melanin pops like mine, you might want to stick to the shade 01. Thank me later .

9. Nuban HI Gloss Lipstick

Got the shade Daisy. This is one of my favourite nude gloss. You can wear it on it’s own or on top of any lipstick. Smells so good, it’s pigmented and glides on the lip smoothly plus it’s relatively long-lasting. If you’re in the market for a new nude gloss, try this out. Me likey muchy!

10. Nuban Pro Beauty Blender

Gaaaallll if you haven’t tried this beauty blender what are you waiting for?! Jump on the wagon and get yours. It’s super soft! Gets your makeup ( cream, liquid or powder ) looking flawless. I love the color as well.

In conclusion, I’m in-like with most of the products from the brand.
Do I recommend? Oh yes!
